Our client is a well-established nationwide business with an amazing reputation for quality workmanship. Our client has asked us to find a Door Technician for their Dunedin operation.
You will be a highly skilled and talented technician and have a background in a mechanical or an engineering field.
Ideally you will hold a mechanical/Engineering qualification or be highly mechanically minded and be a proven and respected expert in your field. You will be comfortable liaising with customers and working in various locations across the Dunedin region.
With a fine eye for detail and a natural problem solver you will be comfortable taking on full responsibility for your work and be comfortable working by yourself. Your day will be a mix of planned maintenance, installations of doors and repairs.
Alongside your great technical skills, you will be comfortable operating technology like iPhone and iPad as well as being able to accurately complete relevant paper-based reports
The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm with any over time paid at 1.5 of hourly rate. There is a on call after hours roster which runs for one week, once a month and this attracts a very generous allowance. There is also some out of town work as well (Central Otago).
Your progression and development are important and you will be provided with all the training and support required for you to be successful.
