Mental Health Support Worker
Are you a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Support Wrokerr with some time available for a temporary assignment and potential for further shifts? Your People is looking for someone with relevant experience to cover a temporary assignment of at least 3 months, initially. This role starts asap. If you do not have experience but you have the right skill set and a desire to work in this area we would be keen to talk with you.
We are looking for someone who can build empathetic and supportive relationships, to empower people living with Mental Health issues.
About the Role:
Title: Te Whai Oranga (Support Worker)
Location: Community-based
Primary Focus: Mental Health Community Support - Te Whai Oranga - to persue wellbeing
Shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm or 2:30pm-11:00pm

Qualifications and requirements:
• Ideally you will hold a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Social and Community Services Level 4 - Community Facilitation, Mental Health and Addiction Support or Social Services.
• Employer will train suitable candidates.
• Relevant experience of providing Mental Health support in the community -
• highly desirable.
o An ability to connect with people from all walks of life and to effectively manage a wide range of situations.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team – keeps to scheduled timelines.
o Compassionate, empathetic and client-centred approach to supporting MH patients.
• Remuneration: $28.75 for L4 qualified candidates.
