Our client is a long established and well recognised Dunedin business and has created this new permanent, full time role to meet the demands of their workload.

Initially the role will have a major focus on administration as the successful applicant builds their product and industry knowledge. The ideal person for this role therefore, will have a strong administrative background – preferably in a trade related business.

Administrative tasks include:

  • Debtors (payment allocation, bank recs, invoicing, debt recovery)
  • Creditors (assigning charges to client accounts, reconciling invoices, reconciling statements and payment runs)
  • Payroll (timesheet entry, holiday pay / sick recording, pay runs, PAYE)
  • General administration (GST calculations & returns, job costing – including time & materials, inwards goods & store stocktakes and other general administrative duties
  • Reception

Design tasks will ultimately include:

  • Consulting clients to identify their requirements
  • Site visits consider options and to accurately measure areas
  • Draw up concept plans  / options
  • Present concept plans to clients
  • Define product specifications and prepare quotation for client
  • Prepare detailed plans using design software

 

Key skills required:

  • Strong administration experience including job costing, Debtors and Creditors
  • Experience with accounting software - preferably Infusion
  • Competent with MS Excel and MS Word
  • Payroll experience
  • Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to pick up new systems and processes quickly
  • Genuine interest in kitchen design
