Client Relationship Manager

Full-time, Permanent
Dunedin, Otago

#5251

We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient, and organised Client Relationship Manager to join our client’s team - someone who can confidently support clients through times of transition, loss, and complex decision-making.

This is not your typical client services role. You’ll be working in the unique and rewarding world of trusts and estates, managing long-term client relationships and helping families navigate sensitive situations. While prior experience in the trustee industry is a bonus, we’re open to candidates from legal, financial services, insurance, or other professional backgrounds who bring emotional intelligence and a client-first mindset.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts across trusts, estates, and related services
  • Build trusted relationships and act as a key point of contact for individuals and families
  • Guide clients through processes during emotionally challenging times
  • Liaise with legal, financial, and property professionals as needed
  • Ensure compliance, documentation, and administrative accuracy

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong client relationship or account management experience
  • Is calm, professional, and empathetic when dealing with grief or difficult conversations
  • Is resilient, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Has experience in the trustee, legal, or financial services industry – or can demonstrate transferable skills
  • Is detail-oriented, organised, and takes pride in doing things properly

What’s in it for you?

  • Work in a values-driven organisation that genuinely helps people
  • Be part of a supportive, knowledgeable team with a reputation for excellence
  • Enjoy variety, autonomy, and the chance to grow within a unique sector
  • Know that your work makes a real difference in people’s lives

This is a rare opportunity to combine your relationship-building skills with meaningful work. If you’re looking for more than just a job, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now to join a team that supports people when they need it most.

You must be entitled to live and work in New Zealand to be considered for this role.
