Are you ready to take your career in an exciting new direction? We’re looking for a Junior Travel Consultant – industry experience is preferred – will consider candidates with the right attitude and a passion for travel and sales, looking for a start in the industry.

 

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Travel Consultant to join a retail-based  travel team. This role is ideal for someone who loves travel, enjoys working with people, and wants to develop a successful career in sales and travel consulting.

If you’re passionate about travel and sales, and you’re ready to build a long-term career, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into the industry with a supportive, Dunedin-owned business. Salary + performance bonus on offer.

You’ll be learning the ropes from senior consultants, building strong client relationships, and helping customers plan memorable travel experiences. This is a Monday–Friday role, with a rostered 4-hour Saturday shift.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Travel Consulting: Learning from experienced consultants while assisting clients with travel planning and itinerary creation
  • Customer Service: Delivering friendly, confident service and guiding clients through each step of their journey
  • Sales & Follow-up: Building relationships, following up enquiries, and maintaining accurate client records
  • Teamwork: Contributing to team success while developing your own skills and results

Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Rostered Saturdays: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

 

What You’ll Need

  • A strong desire to build a career in the travel industry
  • Customer service experience and a proven record of reliability
  • An interest in sales and achieving results
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well in a team
  • Travel industry experience is preferred, but not essential for the right person
