Looking for a role where you can lead from the front and make things happen on site — while building your career with one of New Zealand’s most respected civil construction companies?

We’re after an experienced Project Engineer to take charge of key civil construction projects across Dunedin.
You’ll be site-based, pricing and managing works, coordinating teams, and ensuring quality delivery from start to finish.

This is a key position within a well-established, highly regarded business that prides itself on quality workmanship, strong client relationships, and supporting its people to progress. There is real opportunity to grow your career and step into more senior roles over time.

The Role:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations
• Lead and mentor site teams and engineers
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Manage safety, quality, and productivity on site
• Set out works using survey and GPS equipment
• Prepare pricing estimates and progress claims
• Work across 1–2 large civil projects at a time

About You:

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or similar qualification
• 3–5 years’ experience in civil construction engineering
• Solid contracting and project delivery experience
• Confident leading crews and working alongside field teams
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Survey and GPS skills (CAD experience ideal)
• Working knowledge of transport and earthworks projects
• Keen to work outdoors and take ownership on site
• Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence
