Job Interviews - Strategy No. 9 What should I wear to a Job Interview?
A couple of decades ago there was a formula for how to dress for an interview. Seemingly, there was a science behind wearing navy - that is, navy suits. Evidently, there was a correlation between interview success and navy suits. We’re not so sure that this is relevant anymore – actually, we’re sure it’s not!

What you wear can give a certain flavour to your personality. We are all unique and all have different likes, dislikes and dress sense and that what’s makes us special. However, when attending an interview, it can be a good idea to tone it down a bit.

Different types of jobs have different dress codes. If you are a tradesperson it is entirely different to being a senior manager within a professional environment.

A good rule of thumb is to think about what you would wear to work if someone very, very important was visiting. That is how you should dress for an interview. Take it up a couple of notches.

It goes without saying that you should be well groomed – this is definitely the time to use the iron.

Whoever said, “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” was right.
