Position Overview: Due to expansion, we are seeking dedicated and empathetic Full-Time Mental Health Support Workers to join their team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong passion for helping others and will be responsible for providing direct support and assistance to individuals with mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to manage their mental health effectively
- Set and achieve agreed goals and activities of daily living
- Assist with housework, meal preparation and personal care
- Monitor and document client progress and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Skills required:
- Compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards individuals with mental health challenges
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions with clients
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Full and clean driver’s licence
