We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Part-Time Mental Health Support Workers to join our client’s team. As a support worker, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to offer emotional support, encouragement, and practical assistance to clients in their journey towards recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to clients with mental health issues
  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies and skills to manage their symptoms effectively
  • Set and achieve agreed goals and activities of daily living
  • Assist with housework, meal preparation and personal care
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions with clients

Skills required:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals with mental health challenges
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • A commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality
  • Full and clean driver’s licence
